Resolved - Good afternoon,

We’re pleased to share that you can now successfully edit user roles for users who were provisioned via Single Sign-On (SSO).

This resolves the core issue that was preventing updates to existing SSO-provisioned users.

Our team is now focused on improving error messaging when users attempt to update read-only fields that are populated through SSO provisioning—such as email address, first name, last name, title, and telephone. These fields will remain managed by your identity provider.

If you see any issues with user modification or have any questions, please reach out to PaymentWorks Support.

We appreciate your patience and partnership as we worked through this issue.

Thank you,
PaymentWorks Support

Update - Good Morning,

We’re continuing to investigate an issue affecting users provisioned through Single Sign-On (SSO), where updates to existing user records result in errors. The root cause has been traced to a bug in our backend provisioning logic.

Workaround: New users can be manually added and assigned roles during creation. Editing existing SSO-provisioned users is currently unavailable.

We’re actively working on a fix and will share updates as progress is made.

Thank you for your patience.
